Dr Oscar Brumby-Rendell is an orthopaedic surgeon specialising exclusively in upper limb surgery of the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand. He is a founding director of the Adelaide Shoulder & Upper Limb Clinic (ASULC), where his practice is exclusively dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment and surgery of the shoulder and upper limb. He manages patient conditions associated with arthritis, trauma and sports injuries.
Dr Brumby-Rendell has a special interest in mini incision shoulder replacement using 3D guided navigation and robotics. His broader clinical interests include shoulder rotator cuff disease, shoulder dislocation surgery, keyhole shoulder, elbow and wrist surgery, endoscopic carpal tunnel surgery, tendon preserving base of thumb surgery, and fracture management.
Dr Brumby-Rendell trained locally and internationally, completing a competitive fellowship through the International Bone Research Association, gaining advanced sub-specialty skills in keyhole and 3D computer-guided joint replacement surgery. He complemented his fellowship with international microsurgical training at the National University Hospital, Singapore. In addition to his private practice, he holds clinical and academic appointments at the University of Adelaide, the Royal Adelaide Hospital, and the Royal Darwin Hospital.
He is a member of the Australian Orthopaedic Association, the Australian Medical Association, the Australian Society of Hand Surgery and Shoulder and Elbow Society Australia.
